For over 60 years, the Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists has provided a unique opportunity for journalists from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Oceania to cover the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) during its opening months from September to November. The fellowship allows selected journalists to gain first-hand experience reporting on global policymaking while engaging with international diplomats, experts, and leaders.

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in United Nations-related topics and global policy issues
  • Submit samples of recent work demonstrating high-quality reporting

Please note that applications from Ghana, Namibia, and Kashmir will not be considered in 2025.
